A smoll secondary yolk sac has formed inside the primary yolk sac as it is "pinched off". A large cavity, the extraembryonic coelom, now surrounds the yolk sac and the amnion, exept where the amnion is attached to the chorion by the connecting stalk. The Extraembryonic coelom splits the extraembryonic mesoderm into two layers: extraembryonic somatic mesoderm lining the trophoblast and covering the amnion, and the extraembryonic splanchnic mesoderm around the yolk sac. The trophoblast and the extraembryonic somatic mesoderm together form the chorion, which eventually give rise to the fetal part of the placenta
